Acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu has denied saying that “Coronavirus is caused by corruption.
In a statement shared on EFCC official Twitter handle, the anti-graft agency alleged that the report is false and misleading.
The agency claimed that Magu said;
“Tackling corruption is a clarion call, given that corruption is a huge burden to the nation. It is worse than Cancer, Ebola Virus, Coronavirus and all other deadly diseases put together.”
According to a piece of video that went viral on social media showed Magu saying: “he strongly believes coronavirus is caused by corruption.”
The statement was actually made on Tuesday at the passing out parade of 281 cadets of the EFCC Detective Inspector Course-5, at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.
