The Senator Representing the good people of Rivers West Senatorial District, Sen. (Mrs) Betty Apiafi, and other dignitaries including the Minister for Health, were present at the UniAbuja Teaching Hospital-2019 best staff award ceremony and, the celebration of the separation of conjoined twins which held at the ICN School, UniAbuja Teaching Hospital.
The UniAbuja Teaching Hospital in its effort to curb the rising decay and failure of some public administrators have introduce the award and punishment strategy. The strategy is geared toward motivating those who have done exceptionally well in their various duty post and who have gone extra-miles to do their jobs, and as a warning for others who have shown unethical behaviours at the work place.
The ground breaking-award was given to the the Medical Team who separated the Conjoined twins at the Uniabuja Teaching Hospital.
Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, the CMD, UNiAbuja Teaching hospital, Prof. Bisala kele, thank staffs who have received the award, encouraging others staffs of the hospital to follow the footstep of the awardees. He encouraged the awardees to step up their games, as the award bestows upon them greater responsibilities in their various duty post. he siad.
Chairman of the UniAbuja Teaching Hospital Committee Board, Dr. Jaja in his remark thanked Sen. Betty Apiafi for helping the UniAbuja Teaching Hospital in bringing to reality the Hospital’s mission and vision. He further thanked the Senator for standing as the pillar of the Uniabuja Teaching Hospital, who even at the House of Representative made sure the UniAbuja Teaching Hospital Trauma Centre is completed, and has continued with her good gesture even as a Senator, pointing to her contribution to the residency Act of 2019 at the Senate.
He commended the Senator, pointing that having shown so much effort for the development of the UniAbuja Teaching Hospital, it is indeed a worthy proof to why her people agreed to to uplift her from House of Representative to the Senate.
The UniAbuja Teaching Hospital then presented an award to the Senator, Mrs. Betty Apiafi, in Honour and Recognition of her Contribution to the Development of the UniAbuja Teaching Hospital.
In response, the Senator, thank the Board Chairman, CMD of the UniAbuja Teaching Hospital and the staffs for the accolades and the award given to her in honour of her support for the growth and development of the hospital. She Congratulated the recipients of the Awards, and encouraged them to put more effort in their duty post, she said.
