I believe all these lecturers would not give us little or no time to relax again.”
Recall that, Federal Government shutdown the whole academic institutions in March, 2020 in order to curtail the spread of the dreaded Corona virus. At the break of this news, it is noteworthy that some institutions have already unveiled their exams timetable to Kickstart their internal examination.
Reacting to this development, the author of plight of widow said “there is need to live a life beyond social media. Many successful people you see on the street today are always busy because they know what ought to be done. They set target for themselves, and often plan ahead. But it is unfortunate and painful that my generation only erected a permanent abode on the social media without any calculative gain.
“Let me tell you, spending all your life on social media and chatting with your friends endlessly is born out of joblessness, if you have something good doing your appearance on Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp wouldn’t be regular, unless if you’re using it to promote your business or entrepreneurial skills.
As part of quality utilization of social media, Kogi State University, Anyigba joined multiple University across the country and beyond to teach her students via online platforms like WhatsApp. In spite this commendable and rewarding effort of the schools, large quantum of students fall shorts of commitment and dedication as they are corrupted with the evil hands of addiction that surround chatting.
According to her, the first thing every student should do as Federal government is planning to reopen our schools is to revisit their books. Read extensively, do not only study books within your course prescription, study other exciting subject matters. Review the genre of books you usually consume. Try read autobiography of famous and inspirational personalities like Barack Obama, Martin Luther King Jr among others, because there is more to life after social media.
Life without planning is like having a car maintaining back as front at the same time. Unarguable, there will not be direction.
