In furtherance to the social distancing order as announced by Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, HRM Nye Felix Enene Otuwarikpo, today visited Edeoha Town, the administrative headquarters of the Upata people to enforce compliance order at the market inorder not to endanger the health of his subjects.
He appealed to them to adhere to the existing health warnings, stating however that the Covid-19 is real and warned that the consequence of refusing to obey lawful order is enormous.
The monarch who is also the chairman of the Ahoada East Council of Traditional Rulers, visited the newly opened Police Clinic at Edeoha to inspect facilities to see where the Council can assist.
Nye Udu Otuwarikpo, after the inspection, called on leaders and stakeholders in Orashi region to see the clinic as part of efforts aimed at growing the area, urging them to assist the clinic in whatever way.
While he noted that the timing of the opening of the clinic is “good especially at this trying time,” the monarch reiterated his resolve and that of the Upata Traditional Council to complete the Upata Palace.
